Automatic Thread Color Assignment in PulseIQ
Imagine sending an embroidery file to your machine and having the correct thread colors and machine settings applied automatically. All you need to do is hoop the garment and press start. That's not a dream...that's PulseIQ!

You set a design's thread colors once in PulseIQ, and those settings go with the design every time it's sent to a machine. A few minutes of color setup per job may not sound like much, but multiply it across every design, every machine, and every week, and it quickly adds up to hours.
How It Works
Automatic Needle Assignment comes down to two simple steps.
First, set your machine's needle colors. Tell PulseIQ which thread sits on each needle of your machines. If several machines share the same thread setup, set it once and copy it to all of them. A machine with a different setup can keep its own needle colors.

Then, set your design's thread colors. Choose the colors for each design in PulseIQ. If a customer wants a different color for an order, you can swap a color everywhere it appears or change just one part of the design.
With both in place, PulseIQ knows which thread each design color needs and sends every color to its matching needle automatically. The needle sequence is worked out before the design ever reaches the machine.
The Format That Makes It Work
Automatic Needle Assignment is powered by Tajima Software's PXF file. Many shops still send designs to their machines as DST files, a format that has been the industry standard for decades. DST does a good job of storing stitches, but that's about all it stores. PXF keeps the details DST leaves behind:
Thread colors
iTM and DCP settings
Messages before and after stitching
Max RPM
Hoop positioning
When you upload a DST file, PulseIQ converts it to PXF so it can carry those settings when sending the design to your machines. Even so, it's best to start with a PXF file whenever you can. A design that begins as DST gives you less control when you want to edit the design down the road.
With Automatic Needle Assignment, the color work happens once, on your computer, and every machine gets a design that's ready to stitch. Contact your local distributor to see PulseIQ in action.
