What is Embroidery i2?
Embroidery i2 is a plugin that allows you create embroidery designs directly within the Adobe Illustrator/CorelDRAW software. Draw or open a vector file, assign a stitch effect, adjust embroidery parameters and you are ready to sew the design on an embroidery machine.
Embroidery i2 is perfect for graphic artists and designers wishing to add embroidery into their designs. It enables you to combine vector graphic designs with embroidery into a single multi-media design file. Screen printers, promotional product companies, fashion designers and more can each benefit from the ability to create professionally digitized embroidery designs without the time commitment of learning completely new software. Customer logos and vector artwork can be quickly and easily converted into production ready embroidery designs.
Fills, Fills and More Fills
Fill stitches cover large areas with textured patterns, keeping the overall stitch count (and cost) low. Embroidery i2 includes over 20 standard fills, 135 carved fills and over 150 programmed fills to create unique textures with thread.
Unlimited Embroidery Fonts
Over 125 specially digitized embroidery fonts are included in Embroidery i2, plus you can convert any TTF font into embroidery for access to an endless supply of unique fonts.
Export Embroidery Designs as a PNG File
Export a 3D rendering of your embroidery design to send to your customer for approval before it goes into production.
Thread Charts
Many popular thread charts are included for easy color selection, ensuring the design you make on screen matches the final production.
AutoDigitize
Digitize an entire design in one click to make accurate stitch estimates and 3D preview renderings for customer proposals. Autodigitizing analyses your vector artwork and selects appropriate stitch types for each section of the design.
Three Letter Monogramming
Use our special monogram fonts, the included embroidery fonts, or any TTF font to create popular 3 letter monograms. Add decorations and apply envelopes to monograms for extra personalization options.
Access from Multiple Computers
Embroidery i2 uses server-based authentication, so if you have your login account and password, you can access your embroidery tools from any computer with a supported version of Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW.

While embroidery may be slightly more complex than creating a printed design, our simple tools enable artists to quickly learn and apply the settings needed to run your embroidery machine like a pro.

Garment Specific Recipes – Each material requires specific machine settings to run smoothly and produce a high-quality final product. Embroidery i2 includes the parameters needed to sew on pique, silks, fleece, jacket backs and many other types of fabric. Recipes are made up of the components below, which can also be adjusted separately:

Pull Compensation – Adjust this to ensure your embroidered design does not stretch or pucker the fabric.

Underlay – Creates a base layer that tacks down backing and/or foam to stabilize the embroidery surface.

Stitch Density/Length – Controls how close together each stitch is. A high density is required for 3D foam effects.

AutoClip Stitches - Removes stitches from a complex fill when design elements are layered on top of each other, so the embroidery does not become too dense and cause needle breaks.

Auto Satin Stitch – Satin angles and slices will be generated automatically.

Automatic Overlap – Prevent gaps from being introduced where intersecting segments occur.

Automatic Start and Stop - Let the software automatically determine the optimal start and stop placements for each group of stitch segments, saving you time and effort when digitizing.
