How PulseID Transformed Production at Marleylilly

What started over a decade ago as a hobby in the home of Marleylilly owner and CEO Kelly Owens has grown into an industry-leading e-commerce business specializing in personalized gifts and accessories for women and children.
The first embroidery machine Marleylilly purchased was delivered by the same Hirsch Solutions representative they still work with today. To get the machine into the house, he had to remove the door frames. Just months later, Marleylilly was expanding, moving to a new location and buying more equipment to keep up with demand.
Improving with Automation
In 2015, Marleylilly hit a turning point. Their growing order volume exposed a major bottleneck in their production line: every order required a custom embroidery file to go along with it. The manual process of creating these files was eating up valuable time and resources. This led them to turn to PulseID to automate the entire file creation process, enabling the company to process orders much faster and with fewer steps. This shift saved hours of production time, reduced human error, and allowed their team to focus on scaling operations.
Beyond automation, PulseID added advanced production control. Each order now includes a barcode that stores information to streamline tracking and fulfillment.
Glenn Stinnett, Operations Supervisor, has been with the company for just over two years and uses PulseID every day. According to Glenn, the software has dramatically increased their production speed while reducing the error rate. Marleylilly can now handle thousands, sometimes tens of thousands, of orders daily with precision.
Doubling Operator Efficiency
Kelly McCoy, Director of Operations, points to one of the most visible signs of progress: operator efficiency. Before PulseID, each operator managed four machines. Now, that number has doubled to eight. This improvement has made it easier to scale production without adding headcount, while still maintaining high-quality standards.

One of their biggest challenges before PulseID was tracking operator performance. Now, they have detailed statistics on machine run time, operator efficiency, hourly output, and more. This has led to major gains in both productivity and accountability. Another key benefit is the ability to monitor production from anywhere in the world.
Driving Success Through Collaboration
We truly value our partnership with Marleylilly. They continue to be a strong advocate for how automation can improve production, and their success is a powerful example of what’s possible with the right tools and team in place.
We are also extremely grateful for the dedication and care Hirsch Solutions provides to each of our U.S. customers.
As Kelly Owens puts it, "I don’t think I have another piece of technology in the building from over 10 years ago that’s still running like our Tajima machines. They’ve scaled with us, and we wouldn’t be here without this equipment and the software that helps it run."
